Looking for individual or couple profiles on AdultFriendFinder? Start with who you both want to meet and a location range that works for you. This page explains how to make those choices; actual member browsing takes place in your signed-in AFF account.

Start with Who You Both Want to Meet
A profile can match your search while its owner wants to meet someone different. Check both sides before choosing whom to contact.
- Who does the profile represent? Read whether it describes an individual or a couple, rather than inferring this from a photo.
- Whom do they want to meet? Compare their stated preferences with your own profile type. Their identity and their preferred contacts are different information.
- What interaction do they describe? Look for an explicit interest in online conversation, local meetings or another stated activity. If it is unclear, keep it as an unanswered question.
In AFF's Match Settings, Looking for, Age and Location set your basic preferences. They help narrow your starting list; they do not establish that another member wants the same contact.
Choose a Distance You Would Actually Travel
AFF's documented Location preference sets distance from your profile location. Choose a range you would use in practice, then check the place listed on each profile.
Toronto and the surrounding area
A Toronto-only shortlist can overlook someone in a neighbouring municipality. Decide which surrounding areas you can reasonably reach rather than judging suitability by the city name alone.
Ottawa–Gatineau
Ontario and Quebec meet across this urban area. A profile in another province can still be closer than one elsewhere in your own province, so compare the actual places.
Windsor and the border
A nearby location can be in the United States. If cross-border meetings are outside your plans, check the country and city before opening a conversation.
These are search-planning examples, not local member counts or live results. AFF's distance calculation and displayed units have not been verified here; do not treat a radius as driving distance.
In a smaller community, decide which neighbouring places you could realistically visit before widening the range. If language matters, read the introduction for that information or ask; this guide does not assume a language filter.
Which Profiles Are Worth Opening?
Use the information visible in a result to decide whether to open the profile. If a detail is missing, treat it as unknown rather than filling it in from the photograph.

Save or contact? Use Hotlist to keep a profile for later review. Sending a message is a separate action: first read the profile, identify one specific point you want to discuss, and check your message access. Saving a profile does not create a conversation.
Too Few Results? Change One Filter at a Time
A short list can reflect your chosen conditions rather than the total number of members in the area. Start with the preferences you applied, not a guess about local activity.
Remove an optional restriction
Review your Match Settings. If an additional preference such as body type is not essential, remove that preference first while keeping who you want to meet unchanged.
Adjust one practical range
Change either your age range or your location distance, then review the results again. Keep the range within what you would actually consider.
Keep your important boundaries
Do not remove a necessary relationship preference or accept an unworkable journey just to increase the list. Paying for access cannot establish that suitable local members exist.
Looking for a specific username? AFF's help describes the Search username field in Instant Messenger as showing matching members who are online. A missing result there does not establish that the account does not exist. This page does not run a username search.
What Can You View Before Upgrading?
AFF describes Standard membership as free. Registration, opening full profiles and exchanging messages are separate access questions; free registration is not a promise that every profile detail and contact option is included.
